Running, screaming, and completely unbothered by the collective exhaustion around them, the child ruled the cabin, ensuring that no one got any sleep. At one point, Susie, desperate for rest, locked eyes with a fellow passenger across the aisle, a silent exchange of pure, exhausted understanding.
