In the latest clip, Chaka Khan rejected the idea of participating in a Verzuz battle. While agreeing with Luenell on how they each view their craft, the singer stated, “We don’t need no battles. We don’t need no bull****…I’m not here to play.” Despite not wanting to do a Verzuz battle, Luenell listed Teena Marie, Natalie Cole, and Anita Baker as singers that her or fans would have liked to see her share the platform with. During the clip, Chaka Khan also spoke on people not realizing Teena Marie was White and Nat King Cole not having his picture on his records.
