It was recently just announced that the Los Angeles Lakers are cutting former 1st round pick Dalton Knecht in favor of giving the final roster spot to Bronny James and people are shocked 😬
A year ago, people were saying the Lakers got a steal drafting Dalton Knecht, now he just got cut in order to keep a guy who shot 25% from the field in pre-season 👀
But if we look deeper into the situation it’s obvious what happened: Knecht fit perfectly into a team headlined by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but now that this is Luka Doncic’s team he doesn’t have a fit! 🤷♂️
Not only that, but let’s take a look at the Lakers recent draft classes! They have nearly 0 first round picks from the last few drafts and the longest tenured drafted player is Bronny James 😳
This is moreso an indictment on how bad of a GM Rob Pelinka is than if Bronny or Knecht are bad players 🤦♂️
Should the Lakers fire Rob Pelinka? ⬇️
