In this clip, Boosie discussed how he raises his sons not to trust the police. Boosie details his longstanding animosity toward law enforcement and his early run-ins with them. Boosie stated that he’s teaching his sons in particular not to trust cops regardless of their financial privilege. He believes that they are targets either way and that how he chooses to raise them is a result of imparting that knowledge and precaution.

Boosie went on to discuss how the incarceration of Black men in Louisiana is generational, with the state’s most infamous prison, Angola, housing sons, fathers, and grandfathers. Boosie believes that the police target generations of men because it’s a game to them and their out to win.
