In this VladTV clip, Bill Duke spoke about living next a white blonde girl who he had a crush on. Along with that, Duke spoke about wanting to wipe the black off of his skin after being made fun of in school, and almost drank bleach as a result of the incident before his mother stopped him. Duke said that incident made it clear that racism was a reality for him, and that his mother and father gave him and sister anecdotes to get through issues with racism and self-hate.
