Beach Craftsmen Make Wedding Rings From Coins

Beach vendors recycled old coins to make impressive handmade rings for a couple.

The locals made the jewellery for holidaymakers visiting the island in Siquijor province, the Philippines.

Footage shows the workers using a hammer and sharp tools to manually shape the two 10 Pesos coins into identical rings.

They took the gold-coloured metal in the middle of the coins which they used as material for the accessories.

Tourist Christine Malucon said she and her boyfriend were happy customers.

She said: ‘It was amazing to watch them work and slowly turn the coins into unique jewellery.'
