Jay Z called out Autotune on D.O.A. more than 10 years ago. While Hov might have been able to start and stop trends throughout his incredibly successful career, Mr. Carter faced an uphill battle when it came to shutting down Autotune. This video looks at the origins of the technology within Hip Hop from T-Pain, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne to the newer innovators like Future, Travis Scott and Young Thug.
