In this 2014 flashback, Chi-town producer Young Chop stopped by the VladTV offices and shared his thoughts on friend and collaborator Chief Keef being dropped from Interscope, saying he doesn’t know the details and was just as surprised as the rest of us. He recalls hearing the news shortly after having his own meeting with the label, so he was definitely shocked.
He agreed with Keef’s assessment that no one at the label understood him after Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine left, going a step further to say he doesn’t believe the label ever fully understood Keef as an artist.
