This Gary Drill Rapper Screwly G is Really About That street Life and Locked in tight with the Biggest Names In Chicago Like BloodHound Q50, Lil Jeff, Vonof1700 from TossGang, Big Opp From NLMB and Drench Gang and 21 Savage.
Gary, Indiana—often called Mini Chicago—is one of the most dangerous cities in America, carrying a deadly murder rate and heavy trench politics. Straight out of the East Side of Gary (Miller Beach), Screwly G emerged as one of the most raw and authentic voices in modern drill music. But his story is paved with real pain, street war, and tragedy.
After losing his father at just 14 years old in 2014, and his close cousin Tiyrek Fox (aka Tink) in 2015, Screwly jumped straight off the porch and got active in the streets. Representing STK / TTA, Screwly and his crew found themselves locked in a ruthless war with West Side Gary opps, including VMF (Veski Mafia Family).
When Big Homie Big Kev was taken, Screwly G and his best friend Boog (Jasmin Owens) went sliding for instant getback that exact same night. But in the middle of a heavy bangout, tragedy struck—Boog was hit by friendly fire, dying right in Screwly’s arms on the way to the hospital.
Despite the loss and trauma, Screwly G blew up in the drill scene, bridging the gap between Gary and Chiraq. Formed tight tactical bonds with Chicago’s BloodHound camp (Lil Jeff, Q50, and Lil Scoom), and collaborated with major names like VonOff1700 (TossGang), Big Opp (NLMB / Drench Gang), Q50, and even 21 Savage.
This is the full story of Screwly G, the street politics of Gary, Indiana, and the cold reality of life in the trenches.
