Ben Simmons took 9 wide open threes at Kings practice and the only one that went viral was the airball. But the Sacramento Kings did not sign Ben Simmons for his jumper.
In this video: the Australian national team camp dunk that got Scott Perry interested (per Marc Spears), the private workout that had Doug Christie saying “let’s get him” within minutes, the Brenden Nunes practice video (3 of 9, one airball, over a million views), Simmons responding “I airballed one and one of y’all posted it,” his shot at ESPN for “false narratives,” and why a Ben Simmons who shoots and misses is more dangerous than the one who never shot at all.
Ben Simmons Kings contract: one year, veteran minimum. Kings open Oct 21 vs. the Clippers.
