Tekashi69 has been back in the headline after Micky Mase has brought up the paper work, Munchie B and Alex Alonso break down the paperwork on his 2015 plea deal steming from a sexual assault of a 13 year-old from when he was 18. There has been a heavy wave of online criticism directed at 6ix9ine by well-known personality and gambler Mickey Mase, who has been aggressively using his Instagram platform (drawing millions of views) to remind the public of 6ix9ine’s 2015 sexual assault conviction involving a 13-year-old girl.
Mickey Mase targeted streamers like Adin Ross for previously platforming 6ix9ine, arguing that collaborating with or promoting the rapper equates to supporting a convicted sex offender.
While 6ix9ine previously attempted to claim in interviews (such as with No Jumper and Akademiks) that he was a minor or a “scared 17-year-old kid” at the time, court records and critics clarify that he was 18 years old and the victim was 13 years old. The hosts review the actual four-page plea paperwork. In 2015, sentencing was adjourned for a two-year interim period under strict conditions (including interim probation, GED completion, mental health treatment, and prohibitions against posting sexually explicit or violent media).
Because 6ix9ine successfully complied with the terms during that adjournment window leading up to 2017/2018, he avoided prison time and evaded mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. However, complications arose shortly after when he was hit with the federal Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods racketeering indictment in late 2018.
