JOHN JOHN DA DON RESPONDS TO TSU SURF SAYING BATTLERS GOT TOO CLOSE TO FANS

John John Da Don responds to Tsu Surf’s statement that battle rappers have become too close and too accessible to fans.

Speaking with Knowledge Tha God of HipHopIsReal, John John breaks down how constant interaction, fan friendships, social media access and battlers appearing on every league may be removing the mystique that once made major battle rap events feel special.

John John also speaks on fans becoming managers and league owners, battlers being given a false sense of their position, people changing the meaning of “top tier,” and why being booked against major names does not automatically make someone valuable to the culture.

He also responds to people calling battle rappers “nobodies” while still trying to become part of the same battle rap world.

Did battle rappers get too close to the fans, or is that direct connection helping the culture grow?
