Long before the rap fame and the “Drench” moniker, Lil Wet was a known menace growing up in the heart of NLMB’s territory—Terrortown. By the time he turned 18, he had already been arrested a staggering 29 times on his juvenile record. The streets knew his energy, and by 2017, at just 19 years old, he was hit with a first-degree murder case that shocked the Chicago drill scene.
They alleged he was the shooter behind the infamous quadruple homicide at Nadia’s Fish and Chicken restaurant on 75th and Coles. After sitting in the county fighting for his life, Lil Wet beat the 4 bodies and walked out scot-free due to a lack of evidence. He returned to the block like a king. G Herbo started taking him on private jets, he was hanging in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert, linking up with Chief Keef and 21 Savage, and getting respect from Lil Durk.
But the cycle in Chiraq never truly stops. Lil Wet and NoLimit Kyro birthed a ruthless new subset called Drench Gang, keeping the “get back” energy alive on the East Side. Just as his music was taking off, the feds closed the trap on him in 2024, bagging him with a switch at his girl’s spot. After serving 2 years in the feds, Lil Wet defied the odds yet again and just touched down fresh out in June 2026.
