Adam Silver changed the NBA All-Star Game format for the FOURTH time in three years — and it somehow keeps getting worse. In 2024 it was East vs West (211-186, nobody tried). In 2025 it was a confusing 4-team tournament. Now in 2026 it’s a 3-team USA vs World round robin that nobody asked for.
But that’s not even the worst part. Silver just admitted tanking is the worst it’s been in years, fined the Jazz and Pacers for sitting healthy players, then said “the incentives are misaligned” — meaning HE KNOWS the system is broken. His solution? Potentially revoking draft picks from losing teams.
AND he wants AI to “hyper-personalize” viewing — including letting fans shop for sneakers during live games. Adam Silver isn’t fixing the NBA. He’s speedrunning its destruction.
