Former Army Ranger Nicholas Irving weighed in on comedian Druski’s recent viral “Preacher” skit, praising its raw honesty in portraying mega pastors. Irving agrees the skit perfectly captures how some preachers prioritize wealth, comparing them to “pimps” more focused on accumulating money than genuine ministry. Citing examples of lavish lifestyles—private jets, luxury cars, and aggressive fundraising tactics like Pastor Marvin one’s demand for thousands of dollars in donations—Irving criticized the commercialization of Christianity.

He argues true tithing should be measured in time and commitment, not cash donations lining pastors’ pockets. Irving lamented how churches have strayed from their spiritual purpose, becoming more like “clubs” focused on spectacle and material gain rather than humility and faith. Despite growing scrutiny, he noted many congregants still blindly contribute large sums, enabling what he called a “money grab” that betrays the core tenets of Christianity.
