I know it’s not a shock to any of you that this was coming, but we do owe you all a proper explanation and farewell. We should have told you much sooner — though honestly, we weren’t sure if we just needed a break, or if it was truly time to close our doors. Maybe, deep down, we just didn’t know how to say goodbye yet.
It was really bittersweet saying “Welcome to Top10Archive” just now. I can honestly say I’ve muttered those words thousands of times, and they bring back a flood of memories — a fond, meaningful chapter in all of our lives that we shared together. Over 1.5 million of you, as our beloved subscribers, have allowed me to spend eight years of my professional life as a voice actor as your host and the face of the channel (thanks, by the way, for putting up with this face!), helping to create over a thousand videos. It’s amazing to me, you’ve heard my voice over 500 million times, and spent more than 35 million hours with us. That’s something I’ll never take for granted. And I want to personally say thank you to all the extraordinary talent behind the scenes that made Top10Archive possible — Alex, the creator and manager of the channel, all of our writers, video editors, and others from all over the world — the United States, the Philippines, England, Colombia, Eastern Europe to name a few.
Thank you to everyone, especially you, for giving us the chance to be a part of your lives — and for being such a huge part of ours. Your time, your comments, your support — they built friendships, opened doors, and created opportunities that changed our lives forever. We are genuinely humbled and forever grateful. It’s not a cliché when we say we couldn’t have done any of this without you — because we truly, absolutely couldn’t. And in a way, that’s part of why we had to say goodbye. All things, even the best ones, eventually come to an end — and for us, that time finally arrived.
A wise person once said, “Don’t look back — you’re not going that way.” That’s exactly what we’ve been doing during these last few years. We took a much-needed break, found our footing again, and rediscovered what truly mattered to us as creators — and to you as the audience.
Top10Archive will always be a part of us. Absolutely, the channel will always be here, the videos will always be available for you to come back and enjoy as often as you’d like. But it’s time to take what we’ve learned, the skills we’ve honed, and the incredible community you helped build — to create something new and even better. Something fresh. Something we can pour our passion into once again.
All endings make way for new beginnings… and ours is a new channel called Dark Historian — a channel where we uncover history’s most bizarre and fascinating stories. If you loved the mystery storytelling and intrigue you found in many of the videos on Top10Archive, you’re going to feel right at home on our new channel!
So, from the bottom of our hearts: thank you for being here through it all. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the late nights reading your comments. Thank you for making Top10Archive what it was.
