They’re the boogeymen of rap. Ghostwriters. For decades, being called out for using one could kill your credibility. But in 2025? That’s not exactly the case anymore. So, have the rules changed? Or are we just pretending they don’t matter? Some of the biggest names in hip-hop’s history, Drake, Nas and Ye, have all been accused of using ghostwriters. Ye was the most recent one to admit it. To expose the secret and publicly embrace that someone else has been writing his rhymes.
