Rihanna delivered an iconic Super Bowl halftime show performance, and she did it all while carrying her second baby. That got us thinking… What about all the other fierce and famous moms who performed while pregnant?
Rihanna’s pregnant performance may be the biggest story of 2022, but, more than a decade ago, the spotlight belonged to Beyonce. She announced she was pregnant with Blue Ivy Carter at the 2011 VMAs. A few years later, Bey debuted her baby bump (twins!) in an Instagram photoshoot, and ten days later, she brought the house down, bump and all, at the 2017 Grammys. Cardi B has been pregnant twice, and both times she announced the big news on stage. Mariah Carey performed for Barack and Michelle Obama at a Christmas concert, and backstage she spilled that she was expecting twins. Both J-Lo and Kelly Clarkson also made their big announcements at concerts. Other great performances by expectant mamas include Alicia Keys, Ciara, and Shakira.
