On Thursday’s (Feb. 7) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks open the show sharing their thoughts on Jay-Z and Roc Nation’s involvement with 21 Savage’s ICE case. Shortly after this topic, the crew recaps the back and forth between Offset and Chris Brown yesterday, which was sparked after Breezy posted a meme-based video of 21Savage rapping in a UK accent. Later in the episode, the EDS trio gives their take on Tory Lanez’s recent Pitchfork interview, where the Canadian artist claims that he’s cool again with Dream Doll after their brief rift, and says that his battle with Don Q and Joyner Lucas was strictly “for the sport of hip-hop.” Following this, Ak and Wayno weigh in on the bizarre story of the Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, who admitted to putting on a Blackface at a college party in 1980. The crew then comments on Jay Rock’s tweet from last night, where he hints at a possible full length collab project with Kendrick Lamar. To end today’s episode, the trio plays a quick game of Over/Under which included 2019 hip-hop Grammy predictions. They try to guess how many Grammy Awards rappers will take home at this year’s award show — with Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Childish Gambino and Drake leading the pack of nominees. The crew also tries to guess how many collab songs we’ll get from Drake and Tory this year, female rappers who will have No. 1 songs on Billboard and the amount of months fans will have to wait until a new Bg Sean album.
