2 Chainz is aging like fine wine. Seriously, not only is the ATL rapper currently serving up the most exciting music of his career, his Q rating continues to rise like his private jet blasting off to his next high-profile venture. Most recently, the die-hard Hawks fan made a viral appearance at NBA All Star Weekend to promote Steph Curry’s new show. It’s no secret: Hoops and hip-hop are Two Tone Tony’s two loves. This is the guy who named his 2019 record ‘Rap or Go to the League.’ On “Bet It Back” – the kickoff track to his superb new ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’ – he offers his own reverse version of the fine wine metaphor. “You ain’t agin’ well, you like Steve Francis.” That is, of course, a hilarious and equally esoteric bball reference that only tracks with hoops heads. So forget saying Chainz is aging like the choicest grapes. He’s actually aging like Vince Carter.
