We all love watching the ‘Real Housewives’ franchises for the drama, the lifestyles and the opulence. But is what we are seeing on screen mirroring what is really happening in real life? It’s not all Bentleys and brunches for the fifteen housewives on our list. These ladies have been through some real financial hardships or have even served time, all of which is sometimes shown on the show but in most cases not. From Atlanta housewives like Nene Leakes, Kim Zociak-Biermann and Shereé Whitfield and Potomac housewives like Karen Huger and Robyn Dixon these ladies have filed bankruptcy and had run ins with the IRS all while keeping up with the Joneses. And we can’t forget the west coast darlings, like Dorit Kemsley, Brandi Glanville, Lynne Curtin, Alexis Bellinio and Peggy Tanous who almost rival those on the east, specifically Danielle Staub, Teresa Guidice, Jacquline Laurita, Jules Wainstein and Sonja Morgan, in the criminal charges and tax evasion category. This video is almost as drama filled as the popular reality series! While some ladies are able to get out of their financial strains, others weren’t quite so lucky. Or they still just keep up appearances so that no one is the wiser.
