In this week’s episode of “REVOLT BLACK NEWS,” we have a heartfelt conversation with Eric Garner’s daughter Emerald Snipes Garner, and Jalen Rose and Brandon Marshall help us look at activism through the lens of athletes.
We also dive into the Congressional Black Caucus’ “Justice of Policing Act of 2020,” which Congress members Karen Bass, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Jerrold Nadler introduced. This act would ban chokeholds; prohibit law enforcement from racial, religious and discriminatory profiling; mandate training against discrimination profiling, and much more.
We also officially welcome Eboni K. Williams, already a co-host of “State of the Culture,” as the new host of “REVOLT BLACK NEWS.”
Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of black people, for black people.
“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ‘REVOLT BLACK NEWS.’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions.
